Ok, so I don't own a PW yet, but someday... been surfing here for 3 years or so but most of the time I've been in Europe, so...

I'd love to have one, but they do have their limitations...

First case:

My 89 Suburban 4x4 hauls up to 9 pax in comfort, at highway speeds (well, at least up to 130 or 140 kph), goes almost anywhere I point it (I do know my limitations), gets about 14 mpg, has air conditioning (x2), a good stereo, and is reliable. I can still work on it when needed. All that and I'm supposed to feel ashamed for driving it? Don't think so homey...

Second case:
My 2000 Chevy 2500 4x4 will pull our 30' travel trailer (or our gooseneck stock trailer) on the highway at 80 mph if I want it to, while carrying 5 passengers listening to the stereo and enjoying air conditioning. Yeah it was pricey, (thank God I didn't have to pay for it) but it will do things that no flat fender will. You want me to feel bad about driving it? Don't think so!

While I would love to be able to buy one of everything I want, I have to make choices as does everyone else. I won't knock your choice, don't knock mine. A flat fender would be just the ticket for a good hunting truck or a ranch truck to do real work where I wouldn't worry about a few knocks and dings but for everyday driveability, reliability, comfort and economy I'm gonna have to keep on driving the newer "plastic" trucks until I can afford an extra toy to play with.
