I want to mount a 2000 watt 120 volt generator on my next work truck, problems are new vehicle serpentine belt, ge3nerator must turn at 3600 rpm, and the weight about 45 lbs, should I, run it off a hydraulic pto and or mount another power steering pump to power it? or try to mount the generator on the engine itself? I haven't bought a truck yet, thinking of a ferd diesel cube van (Dodge don't make a van style cube) Or should I scrap the whole idea and use a power inverter? It will be used only about 1/2 hour to 1 hour a day, unless my portable generator dies again. I hate to let the truck run all day though.
