I used POR-15 fuel tank sealer in my M37 about 4 years ago with no problem. I believed they offered two kinds of sealer at that time, one of which was resistant to alcohol and other fuel additives. I would recommend that one. I would boil the tank out first and then follow the recommended procedure using any recommended products.Only difficulty I had was getting it to flow through and around the baffels to get good complete coverage. I would definatley do it to your new jeep tank before installing it. My new CJ3A tank started rusting within 3 years of instalation. I wish I had sealed it first.
