FREE WHEELING HUBS
To make free wheeling hub from spline hubs, do the following:
1. Get an extra set of spline hubs;
2. Buy two bearings – SKF 6007 /C3;
3. Have a machinist cut out the splines and cut an extra .020 to prevent axle rubbing;
4. Machine the hub’s inside side, to accept the bearing flush with that side. You now have free wheeling hubs, at a reasonable cost, with that stock look. For new flange gaskets, you can buy Fel-Pro gasket #4390.
