From the word of other M37 owners I believe the Superwinch hubs are weaker than the Selectros.

This may not be a bad thing. The Superwinch hubs have a lifetime warranty; break one and you get a new one for free. One would actually like the lockout hub to be slightly weaker than the next weakest point in the front drivetrain. That way the hub breaks instead of an axle or whatever. The hub is easily replaced in a matter of minutes on the trail, just carry the original drive plates with you to put on in case you break one. Back home, get your free replacement Superwinch hub and reinstall.

All that being said, I have Selectros.
