Just to give you an idea on materials for a paint job which I am doing my self, no labor.
The truck is totally taken apart, everything sandblasted inside and out. I am using acid etch primer, then a build up primer, Base Coat/Clear Coat. All the materials just about $650.00. Then figure the long hard, lously hours under a sandblast hood, some minor body work for dings, prep......
Its a lot of work, just for a decent paint job, let along a real good job. I was qouted
$5000 for the above. Thus, I am doing it myself.
I am using the PPG paint systems
