Honoring the Sacrifice the Old Fashioned Way

Tuesday's events are being called an act of war. I remember when Love of Country was everything. The Gold Star tradition was one way we honored the families of those that who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. I think it would be appropriate for the families of Tuesday's victims to display a Gold Star in the window of their homes. Hopefully the rest of us will remember - or learn from those do - about what the Gold Stars in all those windows once meant to the rest of us.
