Read Steve's and Fred's postings carefully, both are on the mark. A few thoughts from a 61 yr old born in America white male. Was an army ranger, advisor to the 36th Vietnamese ranger bn. Saw many religions, and many soldiers sought help from their god to
vanquish the enemy, soldiers on both sides.
Was in Armenia,Karabaght, Turkey, last year researching religious buildings and met and travelled with whomsoever had the knowledgeI was looking for. Yesterday two e-mails came in from: Armenia stating their sorrow, a fiercly christian nation. Then one from Turkey, again stating disbelief and hopes that the terrorists would be caught and punished. A nation predominately of muslims.
The point is,I truly believe, a religion is not the cause, but men who wrap themselves in it for their own cause. The comments about our leaders and our news drones is right, and where has our leadership been? time to change our ways.
ps. half my old ocs class is ready to suit up and go get some bad guys, (what a sight!!)
