I hear you, but please don't rush to judge. That was a wake up call of the Pearl Harbor variety. These men and women were caught off guard, weren't in the mindset to do battle.
You can bet that most Americans will now have that mindset when they buy a plane ticket. We should now know that allowing a hijacking to occur is giving the hijackers a license to kill thousands with the plane.
Your right, we've got to be ready to RUSH THE COCKPIT! Let air traffic controllers give you instructions on landing the plane once you have it back.
