Could you set up the brakes kind of like a hydraulic clutch with a slave cylinder to actuate your remotely mounted power brake booster? Then you could mount it anywhere. If you could engineer a slave cylinder on your remote mounted power booster, you might be able to use the stock master cylinder.
I was thinking about this for my FC jeep, which is very limited on space behind the dash where the master cylinder is mounted.
