Whatever you do, do not throw away any of the internal carb parts when the carb is rebuilt. I did that thinking the new parts were better, and that was a mistake as the new accelerator pump leather was too stiff and the spring for it was too strong, so I had a problem with that.
Is your carb a square top?
If what Chris says is not the problem, and you lubed outside the carb, I wonder if fogging the carb with one of the fog oils could loosen up any sticking internal parts?
