We need some snow to cover the ground to stop pipes from freezing!! Put them down 3-4 ft but where the cows congregate they push the frost into the ground. Lost 2 already for a while till it warms up a little. Lucky we have a bunch on the place since the cows drink over 500 gallons a day! We hauled it one year for a while in some nasty weather!!
