I have a WC 12 and I have a question concerning the fit of tie rod ends into the receiving wheel knuckle(hole). I inadvertently slightly reamed the hole (because I had an improper tie rod end) Now the correct diameter tie rod end stud is not very snug - just slides into the hole.) when inserted so that when the retaining nut is tightened the stud bottoms out. (the top of the ball washer contacts the bottom of the knuckle flange). I thought that there should some minor gap (.125 or so) between the tie rod ball and the bottom of the knuckle flange hole remaining upon tightening the castellated nut? Eventhough there is no end play or wiggle in the tie rod, Should I be concerned? If a gap is required, can I use some brass shim stock wrapped on the stud to tighten it?

Thanks for your advice.
