if you can move the core and keep the shroud in the same place on the fan, maybe but i don t know how much is involved in doing that

i am in the same boat with a long block

i figured out you can grind the tabs on the core support and shroud and it can and you can move it forward to the back side of the front of the rad. frame support and use a spacer between it and the frame to move it back a hair other wise it will hit the grill

but i ditched that idea cuz you gotta weasel it down from the top and then as i recall you gotta fight with the bolts that holds the shell down

and i want to mount my support on some body mounts so i am gonna move the hole support frame forward exactly two in. which is what i need in the side sheet metal and bolt a channel bracke(like the 251)t on the bottom of the cross member with two body(or motor)mounts

i found some at the parts house that are the perfect height and diameter to mount between the new rad support bracket and the rad. frame to put it back at stock height

this way the radiator and shroud still all mount to the back of the rad. frame and the shroud is in the correct position for the fan but everything is 2 in . forward of stock 230 as is my 236 which is exactly 2 in. longer than the 230
