I try to sell stuff cheaper to guys on the board I know hoping it gets returned if I need something. When I tried to sell my 6x6 for 4,000.00 it did not sell and I thought it was a good deal? Then I see them for 12 grand not even restored yet? Now you can't even touch mine for that since I have over 12,000.00 into it and a years worth of labor. There are only so many good ones not cut up or welded all over left. I do think the beat up ones are high priced since it takes a lot of money to fix them up to looking good. Not a hobby for a guy raising a family on a small budget! One problem is they don't make a lot of after market parts and the same parts are messed up on most. Some guys have spent a lot of money making dies for things and it takes a while to recoup the start up fees! They are rare trucks and good looking ones took a lot of labor & $$$ to get that way. When you see one still on a trailer they used to bring it home on for sale that is the one you should have found and bought. I used to sell tractor parts and spent a long time looking for good priced ones to make a profit on. That is how I fed my family for a long time. Get a Chevy or Ford to restore there are tons of them out there and tons of reproduction parts cheap. That is why you only see a few Power wagons at the car shows. Supply and demand sets the price.
