I have to agree with Jerry. I had a slow electric leak on my 48 PW. It drove me crazy for 2 years trying to find it. Yes a battery disconnect did fix the dead battery issue but I knew I had a problem somewhere. By sheer luck 2 days ago I found the problem by accident. It turned out that on the headlight switch one of the lugs on the switch was loose due to age. It allowed the lug to swivel just enough to barely and I do mean barely touch the terminal next to it. How I found it; I was hooking up a new heater switch and needed to take out the headlight switch. About this time we had a power outage and the shop went dark. As I was fussing for a flash light I noticed a small glow coming from the headlight switch terminals. It looked liked a tiny tiny white LED. It was leaking from one terminal to the other one for the dash panel lights. You got it, just enough leak to show in the dark but not enough to light up the panel lights. I looked at it with a magnifying glass and you could see the hot spot on the switch where it had been doing that for 2 years. Go figure and thank you Raft River Electric for a very well timed power outage.
