well i guess i am Gomer cuz i did the entire electrical system myself from scratch when i built the jeep : )
There maybe something wrong with the voltage regulator, sometimes it is clearly not charging until i raise the rpm's a little then i can see it kick in.
The interesting thing that i was told when i took the dead one into Autozone was that they had stopped selling the dual-post type batteries because they had a high fail rate.
so maybe i have been fighting that all a long but i don't know for sure.
