When I was a teenager I had a friend who owned a muffler shop. He cut the centers out of the rear wheels of my pickup and turned them around and welded them back in place so the dish was deeper. He was a skilled welder and took care that they were welded in properly so as not to wobble. They ran as true as new wheels. Anything can be done, but those two projects look really scary. :)
