Link to an Archive page on PWA site. MaineSS was their Clueless of a couple years ago, though he was putting his ideas into steel. I don't know if you ever finished his projecathon, I stopped paying attention when it became a pay site.

Anyhow, he dug up data on M37 and Plymouth cams, both at zero lift and .050", and a Delta 400M regrind too.

A bit of my own googling did tell me that in cars, Chrysler did go to longer duration, and 42# of spring pressure @ 13/4". A couple more lbs can be done with shims. But having a machine shop check your antique spring is a good idea. Just like suspension springs that have sagged.
