I have run a few different grinds from Delta camshaft. one was to improve the torque band because I hauled stuff in it occasionaly. the Other was to improve the HP in my Command car. Both grinds made hill climbs much better. The HP grind in the command car seemed to have better acceleration. Only other changes was shaved head a whole bunch on both engines to raise compression and they were both .060 over which also raises compression. Stock valve springs are fine in normal driving of a PW/WC/M37. If going to wind it up to really high rpms then then might float. but it doesn't take much valve spring in a flathead to do the job. doesn't work as hard as an over head valve spring does.
