Wittenberg was an outfit in WA that sold surplus military trucks and parts. the converted lots of M37s to 4.89s, some had diesels, some had then front end change to what you see there. They did 12 volt conversions and general service I believe as well. most the time they had stock front sheet metal, 4.89s and they would cut and widen the distance between rear wheel wells to 48" plus so you could carry a sheet of plywood. I have spoke with a guy who knew people that worked there. They were bought out in the 70s by Freeway truck parts. I used to get a few parts in the 80s from them for my first dodge 4x4 a Wc54
