Just started thinking of selling my 68 Plymouth Fury 3. I've owned it all the way from dealer to today, had it appraised once, and the car is 99% original.
I paid $2,515 for the car out the dealer's door. Inflation calculator says that is over $17,000 2015 ObamaBux.
Having dealt with the wonderful folks at the Wish I Never Met Ya carrier, Aetna, and some others who wanted to stick their big red umbrella up my ass as their pals held their blanket over my head, I do NOT trust any Insurance agent or carrier.
Full coverage & stated value only apply when they are collecting the premium. Slime bustards are real quick to show you that hidden paragraph in the Regulation they didn't send you a copy of saying they only have to pay depreciated original price for what the factory put on the vehicle.
They also have no problem waiting to pay. Carriers have data showing most people will settle for less over time.
