Having quality work done by a shop is way higher than most here believe. I was an invitation show and a guy in my class had a Firebird. We got to talking and trading experiences. He owned a machine shop and had his guys do some pieces for it but the car was built by another shop. At a show a few weeks later I met a guy whose son worked at the owners machine shop and made some of the parts I saw. He then told me the guy had over $200,000 in the car.
We have a few shops local that have had Riddler winners and AMBR cars and the prices they get for work would make your jaw drop. Money isn't tight for some evidently and they find those customers.
See what your agent suggests and I'd be interested to hear what they say.
