thanks to the fine folks here, I now have a functioning cowl vent. The pivots on the vent are now teflon and I waxed the back of several pieces that rub together. I know i need a stronger spring to keep the vent open.
Is there a trick or procedure to follow when installing the vent? There is some adjustability between the control rod, hinge and the vent. I do have it adjusted so the cam is working and the vent closes firmly......but what is too firm?
