I bought an '03 2500 CTD new. I drove it for 3 years and bought another one in '06. Both had 6 speeds. When I bought the '06 I added a Dyna Trac hub kit, Jacobs exhaust brake, AFE air filter, Banks intercooler, and straight piped the truck. It has been trouble free and gets up to 23 mph on the highway and 18-20 in town. I recently replaced the junk dual mass clutch with a South Bend flywheel and clutch. This was at 125k. I now have about 130k on the truck. I recently put an Aero Turbine 4" muffler on it. I would recommend trying to find a low mile 6 speed in the '03 to '06 range as opposed to the new ones.
