My Dad had a thing for used California Highway Patrol cars. I remember a 1962 Chrysler Newport that he got with a 383 and Police Package. We were heading West on I-80 across the Salt Flats and I talked him into punching it. He finally caved in and ran it up to 120, that's as high as the speedometer went. That big old Chrysler cruised as steady as rock. Good times. Oh and he told me not to tell Mom! I didn't tell. I didn't think my old man had it in him but I could tell he enjoyed it.
