15 mpg would be great. When I drove it back from Olympia (where I picked it up), fully loaded most of the way, I got about 10 mpg. I did put the Weber 2 barrel (the larger synchronous one) on it and it feels pretty powerful under load (haven't gotten a good idle out of it yet, though). Thanks for the reminder about the ignition. I haven't even taken the distributor cap off yet. It must be one of the earliest 225s since it doesn't have electronic ignition and it has a road draft tube rather than PCV. Oil is clean, though and I do believe it's a strong motor. By "set perfectly" do you mean by using a dwell meter, or just using a feeler gauge in the gap rather than a matchbook cover?
