Might be easier to tell if you need to stretch or shrink the area. If the roof was jumped on and then pounded out there is a good chance there is a ridge that needs work.
but if you welded up some light holes or a new rain gutter then chances are the roof needs to be stretches.
So for starters what is the cause of the floppy metal?
