I drove hell out of a Corvair pickup with the convenient side loading ramp & disfunctional heater, fun truck for sure.

Xwiff had a 63 as her first car, bench seat stick shift. Her dad bolted blocks on the pedals and the seat was probably moved ahead too. Taught her to drive the Corvair after she learned to drive in the familys giant Pontiac. She's 5 feet tall, I'm 6'1". I looked really good on the passenger side with my knees next to my ears.

Her dad equipped the car for her, 4 towels to dry the ignition system, 2 quarts oil, 1 can brake fluid, ice scraper, tire gauge blanket and 6 road flares along with a fire extinguisher, just in case. She put the same equipment + a can of tranny fluid in every car she owned since.

She long ago forgot how to check tires, or even look at them, and she relies on the professional at the shop to check her oil since she got her Masters Degree.

That Degree even taught her to call me when she had a flat tire on the other side of town so I could tell her to call AAA. She asked WHY she'd call them for a tire, do they do that?

Colleges are full of knowledge because every Freshman arrives with some and no Senior leaves with much!
