Mark this is from the service manual for the 48.

All cab mounting bolts (except the front left) are provided with a spring. which holds a cushioned tension against the support bracket. The mounting bolts, provided with springs. contain two cotter pin holes to allow for instillation of the proper amount of shims for leveling the cab. The nuts on the lower end of the bolts should be turned enough to be just above one of the cotter pin holes so that there is a slight tension on the springs without compressing the coil. Excessive shimming may necessitate drilling a cotter pin hole nearer the end of the bolt.
