I have revived 4 different flathead 6 engines that were completely stuck by filling the spark plug holes with marvel mystery oil. Two of them started and ran and continued to run. One startd and ran and threw a rod on a short trip to town. The last one started and ran until I sold it. The buyer ended up rebuilding it because he heard a knock in it.
Yes, the smoke that is put out after the mystery oil soaking is voluminous. No spiders in my garage for months after. :)
