But you still have not said you have driven it.

When I do a resuscitation, I do the minimum to get it on the road. Get it good and warmed up, full throttle up hill to blow out the bugs. Look for engine noise, brake function, clutch operation, tranny and transfer case operation, differential probs. Even body rattles. Appraise it like a used car. THEN see what to worry about and prioritize. So sense pulling the trnny to get to the engine, fix the bottom end, put it back together, then find out the tranny has to come out to fix it.

One cheap thing to do now is check the drive shafts for correct clocking at the slip joints. Every one I every resurrected had at least one making vibrations.
