Well I sure would!
This years focus with my Girl Scout Troop (14 year olds) is auto mechanics. We are in the process of pulling the 315 out of my 57 W-100 for a complete rebuild. The Troop has 5 girls and all are quite enthusiastic. In addition to the engine rebuild, we will also focus on the basics of car ownership, checking the oil, changing a tire, replacing wiper blades, changing the oil etc. It wont be long before they are driving, and I intend for them to envision pistons going up and down, valves opening and closing etc when they start an engine.
Tonight was the first hands on wrenches night, they got the radiator drained, the hoses off and the radiator pulled. Removed the heater hoses, the carb and mostly got the generator off. Also got the tranny hump off. Not a bad amount of work for an hour!
