There's lots of First Gens in the Northwest. Lots of them came from Canada & it's not uncommon to see low mile trucks but the nice first gens have gone pretty crazy in price. I've seen 3 in the past year sell over $20k for low mile mint trucks.
See the diesels in general were just more common North of the border in that era. While you guys were enjoying $1/gallon gas...us Canadians were paying triple that amount & so buying a diesel 1ton truck that got 20 mpg...it was a huge savings & well worth the added price. Even into the second gen Dodges...we see tons of mint V10 trucks in WA that guys can't give away anymore. In BC, it was unheard of to buy a V10. I've never, ever seen one here. It would cost me $1500/month to put fuel in it! :)
All that said, I'm not sure what sellers you're referring to.
There used to be a guy in Medford, OR that always came up with super nice trucks.
