You did because you did a good job. I think the thermostatic heat risers are better than the manually-set ones (like on the M37s) because the constant jiggling around at least keeps them free. The M37 ones are always frozen in whichever position they were set to. Same on my first Sno-Cat, where it was inexplicably set to "summer" position and the carb iced up the first time I took it up into the hills. Anyway, I'm still just trying to find out whether CW or CCW heats the carb. I don't have a /6 manifold off an engine or I'd just go look at it.
