hey folks, I have just sent out all my chrome parts on my 49ffpw to a friend of mine who has a paint shop. he does good work and recently he has started to use this new chroming process which a myriad of solutions and water to achieve the "chrome" look while making the cost about half what a chrome shop would want to take the metal all the way down and start again.. I am posting this link to a video which shows my friend using the new technique.
Some might say this way is no good and I'm taking the cheap way out but if you can't tell the difference between the two processes does it really matter. I suppose its all in the eye of the beholder... Id be interested to hear if any of you have tried or seen this new process. one last thing, jay leno had a segment on his garage show mentioning it too
