Hello all...

My Family and I are going to move soon, and my 1951 civilian Dodge Power Wagon ambulance might not be able to come with us. I'd like to see if there was any interest here before I actively try to sell her. It's a non-running project. It's first owner was the County of San Diego, where at some point in their custody they replaced its original flathead 6 with a Chevy 292. The installation was clean with hanging pedals. The bumper extensions are there, but it no longer wears it's pto winch. It was bought at a county auction by its second owner in the 1970's, and he used it as his daily driver until the late 1990's, when he parked it due to brake issues. Apparently, that PO couldn't source the drums it needed and left it parked under redwood trees until I purchased it. The motor and at least 1 wheel are frozen. My plan for the short term is/was to install a good 292 (Which I've seen for sale for $400-$600), rebuild the hydraulics and use it. The long term plan is/was to re power with a Cummins diesel, NP gearbox, disc brakes at least up front, etc, and make it our Family Camper. I'd like to post photos, but haven't figured out how to post them here, so I will try to post a Flickr link to some. Price $2000 and I'm pretty firm on that, as that would recoup at least a portion of the money I've spent on it to appease my boss, aka; Wife. If anyone is interested, I am located in Sonoma County, and you are free to call, text or email me at:

Best regards,
Matt
