I have my 2x4x3/16" cross member and mount that holds the bolt solid for the rod to go on. I also have 2 sets anti rack gussets that go on both ends. All the talk about tipping and twisting I decided it would not be as safe for use if it went higher. It does go up and down with very little air pressure. The bed frame will also get a lot strength from the sheet metal box that will bolt to the top of the frame in 3 pieces. Having a solid 10' bottom with a 4" lip bent up on the sides.
