I'm glad you mentioned this. I was thinking there was enough thread left on the bolts to get another leaf in. Unfortunately I didn't take good measurements before I pulled everything apart, so now I'm wondering. Esp. regarding the passenger side.
I'll have to look cat the passenger side again. Can't you just get longer studs for the inside? Why are you thinking fabbing is required?
Chris Case has done this a while back, but didn't mention u-bolt problems. Perhaps a minor detail forgotten?
I'll have another look tonight.
