The guy I know that does powder coating doesnt blast a polymer at high pressure. Its a static charge applied to the part being coated and then the powder is sprayed from a gun and it sticks to the metal part being coated via static. Any oil grease rust or something other then nice clean metal it wont stick to as well. They then bake the part in a oven for a length of time and that hardens it. With the static the powder will cling to lots of places normaly not accessible for paint. Its a very quite process. Kinda reminds me of a bee keepers little deal putting out smoke. The powder he uses is high dollar you dont want that stuff all over at high pressure like sandblasting.
Interesting how you do powder coating. He does a lot of race chassis and we have a place about 30miles from here that make those lifts for the garage to store you classic car up high. He does those and all kinds of other things. He started this business about 5 years ago and it took off big time. He's always back logged.
