A local shop dipped the entire clip of a VW Bug of mine for $100. It came out perfect, prepped just fine, and the final paint turned out great! The clip was in pretty good shape to begin with so it only was in the tank for a couple of days. Dipping was easier on me, but more costly. Got to remember to remove anything not steel, or it will be destroyed. For those hard to get places (doors, hoods, engine parts)- dip, otherwise I don't have a problem recommending blasting. Thanks!
