Don't sell the duct tape short.... it has a place of honor in my first aid kit.... I mean the kit for the driver not just for the PW.
On a firewood gathering weekend I rested my chain saw on top of my left thigh near the near area... and the chain was still turning. Stamgely I felt very little pain. Not wanting to loose a whole day waiting at the emergency ward I dropped my pants and my son made some big butterfly bandages to keep the skin together. It worked so well I finished the weekend. On Monday I dropped by the G.P. and he said we had done such a good job I did not need stitches. The only draw back was that it was bitch to remove from my skin 6 days later..... ripping the hair off was more pain than the 4 inch cut from the saw.
