Hey, I'm still here. Don't spend much time on the computer in the summer.
Still lots to do on the truck. The website will be updated in about 2 months when I get the bed we are making painted and on the truck. Then I will finish the roll of film in the camera and get it developed. I'll post a notice when its updated.
I also plan to put a complete list of everything I bought to do this project and how much it cost.
Stuff that will be shown include the truck completely painted. Windshield wipers and mirrors on. New bumper fabricated, same design and shape as original except I made it out of heavier gauge than original and added an extra inch to flange on top and bottom (3" instead of 2").
We are building a flatbed using 4" x 2" rectangular tubing around the outside. (estimated completed weight of bed 800#)
Made a cover for all shift levers, same shape as original leather except I used 1/8" EPDM rubber. Came out really nice. (OK, I didn't make it Linda did)
Work still to be done includes rebuilding and covering original seats, rebuilding winch, fixing up cowl lights from Manny and ??. Don't tell me we are finally close to being finished!
