I don't have a NAPA # (not sure that one exists), but I do have the original Mopar part#(s):

6 volt, up to Engine # T137-21240, = 1070 939
6 volt, after Engine # T137-21240 = 1268 125
12 volt = B1569 176

** These numbers are from Mopar Parts List For Dodge Power Wagon 1947 - 1956.**

I know this doesn't help in a pinch, but MAYBE it could be cross referenced. I'm pretty sure the starter from the '56 will bolt right up.

Is your starter bad? Do you have time to get it rebuilt? Can you pull start the '48 with anther truck? This is a l-o-n-g shot but do you have the hand crank ;-)?

If you DO find a NAPA part # please post it!

Good luck!
