This truck was used to haul nitroglycerin charges around the oil fields. The oil wells plugged up frequently and nitro was used to open them up.
A container of Nitroglycerin was carefully lowered to the bottom of the well. A metal "torpedo" was then dropped into the well to set off the nitro.
