Pieter, I used a couple of quarts of amsoil in my power wagon to make it STOP leaking, the syn oils will soak into the rope seals and swell them enough to reduce leaking from a rear or front seal, provided its a rope seal, putting it in a engine with vitron seals, may as well go ahead and pour it on the groud first.
