When Dodge switched to the new Sweptline era designs in 1961, they did not design a van until 1964 (A100), so they kept producing the D100/W100 Town Wagons and Panels that had been in production from 1954 to 1960 (Power Giant era) with different changes to the front end along the way, They did increase the wheelbase in 61 on the TWs from 108" to 114" as they had the same chassis as the 61-71 Sweptline era trucks. The 61-66 TWs have the flared front fender with the hole moved forward which accommodates the longer wheelbase. You will notice that the front axle sits a bit forward in the hole even at that.
