The M601 had a dual master in the standard location? I thought it was mounted under the floor of the cab, though I have to admit I've not seen one in person. If you can find a brake bracket from a 1967-1968 PW, it puts the master under the cab, and takes a dual circuit master cylinder. Then you can run dual boosters easily.
