I am restoring a 57 W300 Power Wagon and want to order paint for the engine. T137 says the original color is 'silver'. Speaking with the folks at vintagepowerwagons they said it should be light grey but I have seen a shinier color on some which I assume is an aluminum color. Vintage Power Wagons sells motor coater paint in aluminum and grey and they sell Xtreme Temperature coating in aluminum and cast iron grey. Bill Hirsch sells exhaust manifold paint in space age bright aluminum or cast iron grey. I want to use the same paint for engine and exhaust manifold because from what I have read, this was how it was done. I really like the look of the 52 Power Wagon that sold at Barrett Jackson recently for $99,000. Any help identifying the correct color would be appreciated.
Thanks
John
