I know a guy who bought a '77 Toyota L/C diesel from Costa Rica. The pictures and the seller both said there was no rust. He picked it up in Calif., drove it home, had a mechanic check out the engine and drive train, and discovered the usual rusted out rear quarter panels and sides that 99% of the old L/Cs have. Too much risk, not to mention the $50,000 US dollars. :) Now, if it was 50,000 Guatemalan dollars......
